Introduction to PCMC Elections 2026

The Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) elections are set for January 15, 2026, marking a significant civic poll in the region. These elections will elect 128 corporators across 32 wards, with reservations for women, Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and Backward Classes. The total voter base stands at approximately 1,713,891, including 905,728 men, 807,966 women, and 197 from other categories. Key Election Timeline and Preparations

The final voter lists were published on December 15, 2025, following revisions from the draft list released on November 20. Changes in voter numbers occurred across all 32 wards, with increases in 15 wards and decreases in 17. The polling station list is scheduled for release on December 20, with booth-wise voter details to follow on December 27. PCMC has deployed around 14,000 officers for election duties, including presiding officers, polling officers, and reserves at each of the 2,034 stations. Eight zonal offices and returning officers are managing operations to ensure transparency and adherence to the Model Code of Conduct.

Polling Date and Process

Voting will occur on January 15, 2026, across all stations from morning till evening, as per standard schedules. Voters must carry their voter ID cards. Duplicate voter issues, totaling 92,664 cases, are being resolved through affidavits by December 22. The PCMC election portal and Maharashtra State Election Commission websites provide updates on schedules and candidate lists.

Polling stations are primarily set up in schools and municipal buildings for accessibility. They are organized by assembly constituencies like Pimpri, Chinchwad, and Bhosari, covering areas from Chikhli Gaothan to Tathawade village. Chinchwad Assembly has the highest voters at 676,638, followed by Bhosari (624,152) and Pimpri (399,811). Stations are equipped with necessary facilities, and voters can check their assigned booth via official apps or helplines like TRUE VOTER MOBILE (7447455861 series).

  4. Confirm via SMS or the TRUE VOTER app for real-time updates.

Voter Guidelines for January 15

Arrive early to avoid queues. Follow queue discipline, maintain distance, and cooperate with polling staff. No campaigning or mobile phone use inside booths is allowed. PCMC appeals for peaceful participation to strengthen democracy. With all systems in place, including reserves and zonal oversight, the elections aim for seamless execution across Pimpri-Chinchwad’s diverse wards.
