Honeymoon Murder Case: Sanjay Verma Identity Revealed as Sonam’s Lover Raj Kushwaha

The Mystery of the Honeymoon Murder Case Solved
According to call records, Sonam and Sanjay spoke on the phone 234 times in 39 days, from March 1 to April 8.
Sonam, Raja Raghuvanshi’s wife, and Raj Kushwaha, her boyfriend, killed him.
Before and after her marriage to Raja Raghuvanshi, whom she killed in Meghalaya last month, Sonam Raghuvanshi was in close contact with and had made more than 200 calls to a man named Sanjay Verma.

The Meghalaya Police stated the man is none other than Raj Kushwaha, the woman’s lover who came up with the plan to kill Raja, amid conjecture over the new information and Sonam’s connection to Sanjay.
The police claim that Sonam had preserved Raj’s number as “Sanjay Verma” in order to allay suspicions. According to records the police were able to get, Sonam and Sanjay spoke on the phone 234 times in 39 days, from March 1 to April 8. According to the logs, they each spoke for at least 30 to 60 minutes.
The last time Sanjay’s WhatsApp number was active was on June 8, the day Sonam turned himself in to the police and all of the case’s defendants were taken into custody.
Govind, Sonam’s brother, stated on Wednesday that he had never heard of a man named “Sanjay”. “I have no knowledge about Sanjay Verma. He added, “I also found out today that Sanjay’s name is mentioned in this.
To get rid of Raja, Sonam had engaged three hitmen.

The murder case started out as a “missing couple” investigation after Raja and Sonam went missing while on their honeymoon in the northeastern state. However, it tragically changed course and exposed a startling treachery.
On May 11, the Indore-born couple tied the knot. The police claim that the wedding happened in spite of Sonam’s relationship with Raj, who was an accountant at her family’s furniture sheet business. Sonam used to run the family company.
Raja and Sonam took a honeymoon trip to Meghalaya following their Indore wedding. Hours after leaving a homestay in Nongriat village, which is 20 kilometres from the location where Raja’s body was discovered on June 2, they vanished on May 23.
On June 8, amid a fierce hunt for “missing” Sonam, she turned up in Ghazipur, Uttar Pradesh, and then turned herself in at the Nandganj police station. This occurred just hours after the hitmen, Anand Kurmi, Vishal Singh Chauhan, and Akash Rajput, were taken into custody from the towns of Sagar (in Madhya Pradesh), Indore, and Uttar Pradesh. Later, Raj was taken into custody.
Sonam allegedly admitted to killing her spouse on June 11. According to the police, Jitendra Raghuvanshi, her cousin, had paid the three hitmen the first installment.
According to Govind, his family has severed all connections with Sonam. In a case that has stunned the country, he also pledged to support Raja’s distraught family members in their pursuit of justice.
