Following his appointment as chief minister, Devendra Fadnavis developed a 100-day agenda for every department with high goals.
Targeting the Maharashtra administration and Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis over the 100-days plan announced for all ministries, NCP (SP) MP Supriya Sule on Saturday said the only thing that has increased in the last 100 days is the crime rate in the state.
” Maharashtra’s crime rate has climbed. The government is not discussing it. Violence erupted in Nagpur and many areas still have curfews in effect six days later. From what vantage point is Maharashtra? Looking at the 100-day report card for this government, only crime has grown in the state during the past 100 days. Apart from that, nothing else is printed on its report card, Sule remarked during a news conference. She also mentioned that Maharashtra has never seen such a great degree of instability or such crime.
Sule mentioned events including the murders of Santosh Deshmukh and Somnath Suryavanshi and the Nagpur unrest, noting that former journalist Prashant Koratkar, wanted for allegedly insulting Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, had apparently departed India. “Based on what we know, this man fled the nation, heading from Nagpur to Delhi and then Dubai. I had already advised the state government to ask the Centre for assistance should they not be able to locate him. I am stating it once more right now. Until he fled the nation, what were the state police and Home department doing?
Terming Maharashtra’s financial status poor, “The state finance minister said yesterday that you can pretend to be everything but you cannot pretend to be money,” Sule said. I appreciate this finance minister’s comment. I have been stating this for four months. The government ought to pay more attention to farmer difficulties and set aside concerns like Aurangzeb and halt investments leaving the state.
Starting CBSE schools, the NCP (SP) MP also wanted to find out whether the state government intends to close down state education board institutions. “I would like to probe it more. Of Marathi, what proportion will be included into the CBSE syllabus? Will Maharashtra’s past find resonance in it? How much Maharashtra will include in terms of knowledge? You ready for the CBSE board? Do you have instructors? Are you planning to close the state board of education permanently? Sule inquired.
