On Tuesday, the state cabinet sanctioned a Rs 50 lakh per compensation for the families of those murdered in the recent Pahalgam terrorist assault.
Chief minister Devendra Fadnavis declared an interim compensation of Rs 5 lakh for the grieving families right away following the event.
The assault claimed the lives of six vacationers on family vacation. Among the dead are Santosh Jagdale and Kaustubh Ganavate (both from Pune); three maternal cousins—Hemant Joshi, Sanjay Lele, and Atul Mone (all from Dombivli); and Dilip Disle from Panvel.

CM Fadnavis further stated that the state government would help the families of the victims by means of educational and job support. Earlier, he promised Asawari Jagdale, Santosh Jagdale’s daughter, a government position. Using his unique abilities, the chief minister on Tuesday officially sanctioned a government position for a Jagdale family member during the cabinet meeting.
