Uddhav charged the BJP with engaging in sectarian politics and creating conflict between two groups.
Sena UBT president Uddhav Thackeray Thursday criticised the BJP for the “Saugat-e-Modi” project to provide food packages to Muslims before Eid celebrations, calling it “Saugat-e-Satta” (power) meant to influence the next Bihar elections.
A stir and cry was raised when Sena (UBT) got great support among Muslim voters, claiming I had forsaken Hindutva. They even called it ‘Satta-Jihad’. Uddhav spoke at a press conference in Mumbai, “But now the same individuals have changed their stance.
Will this ‘Saugat-e-Satta’ (gift of power) have a lasting influence or will it be confined to the Bihar elections (planned in 2025-end)? The BJP should also announce its abandonment of Hindutva
Uddhav claimed the BJP was engaging in sectarian politics and stoking conflict between two groups.
Muslims suffer police action, their homes are destroyed and bulldozed… Hindus are provoked against Muslims… For many years they have been hating Muslims; now they are looking for Muslim votes. The BJP should make clear whether it wants to poison or feed Muslims, former CM stated.
The ex-chief minister also asked why the police moved swiftly against comedian Kunal Kamra for his comments about Deputy CM Eknath Shinde but no action was taken against actor Rahul Solarpurkar who allegedly insulted Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj or the school director in the Badlapur sexual assault case.
Action is conducted right away if comedian Kunal Kamra attacks a traitor. Then when will action be taken against those who offend great men?
He also criticised the Mahayuti administration for failing to raise the monthly payment under the Ladki Bahin plan from Rs 1,500 to Rs 2,100.
The government only declares programmes… They claimed our dear sisters would get Rs 2,100… but now sisters are being examined (for scheme conditions)… Elections were fought on the topic of farm suffering; now the administration is neglecting the farmers. The Chief Minister is attempting to save everyone except the state residents.
